Celebrate Jamie

My wife Jamie has proven selfless time and again through her life. She has largely raised our two boys (my stepsons) as a single mom for much of her life until I was blessed to find her almost 2 years ago now.
At the time that she and I met, she had just begun nursing school. She has worked as a pharmacy tech for many years, and does her job well; easily one of the hardest workers they have.
She had decided that she wanted more for herself and her boys, so she made the tough decision to enter nursing school while taking care of 2 sons and having to work to provide. At the time, she did not know that we would meet shortly after she began.
She has continually amazed me throughout our time together; especially in regard to her work ethic and drive. She has worked tirelessly over these past couple of years to excel in nursing school while working her job at the pharmacy any spare time she has. Jamie struggles to believe that she deserves a rest and time to just take care of herself instead of making sure everyone else is happy; despite having no days off.
My desire for her is to be able to take her on a weekend getaway after her graduation next spring to somewhere nice by a beach (her favorite) to celebrate her accomplishment. When I shared this idea with her, she pointed out the other expenses we have and will have, and unfortunately she is right. We don't really have the means to do that.
She began offering simple alternatives like going overnight to Hocking Hills or Red River Gorge. And we may end up doing that. But I wanted to see if I couldn't surprise her and take her on that celebratory getaway afterall.
When I shared my disappointment in not being able to celebrate her like she deserves, she indicated that my interest alone was more than she is used to. She shared that when she graduated from school and college in the past, no one bothered to celebrate her (though I'm sure some of you her friends did to a degree!) I want to show her that I and all of you are proud of her accomplishment and that she is worth celebrating in this way! Will you help me?
