In Honor of Hanya Redwan's Love of Learning

This fund is to raise an education scholarship in the name of our late Aunt Hanya Redwan, who passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, the 8th of October, 2024. Throughout her life, she was an avid learner and lover of education, graduating high school early from Saint Mary's College in Raleigh at the age of 16 and graduating North Carolina State University at the age of 20 with two Bachelors degrees. She served as the Associate Director for International Students at North Carolina State University while also teaching English as a Secondary Language at Wake Technical Community College. Having lived on four different continents, Hanya immigrated to the United States in 1984. Fluent in three languages, and a merge of traditional Lebanese and contemporary British and American culture, she was quick to provide insight, advice, or help to anyone who needed it.

She will be dearly missed.
