<div>Hello all. I am fundraising on behalf of my sister, brother in law and their family. They received devastating news on November 8, 2025 about their little 4 year old boy. He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Burkitt Lymphoma cancer. Cedar has tumors both behind his sinus and in his kidney and there is bone marrow involvement as well. He is considered stage 4 right now due to the spread of cancer cells. This cancer is extremely aggressive and will require an extremely aggressive chemotherapy treatment for Cedar to beat it. The journey has just begun but due to the aggressive treatment plan, Cedar will require constant monitoring, IV pain and anti nausea medication and blood transfusions and will have to be an inpatient at McMaster Children’s Hospital for approximately 6 months. Cedar is a tough little guy and we have faith that he will be able to beat this and he has lots of people cheering for him and supporting him. At home, Cedar has 5 other siblings who range from 14 to 1.5 years old. With only dad working, money is going to be very tight for the family. Dad will have to take leave from his work in order to make this work, alternating with Mom to be with Cedar and take care of the rest of the family.
