Cecily is a beautiful, young, strong and energetic 15 year old. Her truest passion in life is and has always been All-Star cheerleading. She has been cheering since the tender age of “5” and is currently a member of Upper Merion All Stars (UMAS) Senior X-Small Level 5 Worlds Team “The Royals”.
Cecily has cheered with UMAS for the last 3 seasons and her teammates are her extended family.
Cecily is and was your typical teenager; until July 26, 2018 when she was diagnosed with the most frightening news, a Brain Tumor! Literally just days before Cecily had attended an intense cheer training camp and was practicing right up until her diagnosis where she was flying high and landing her elite tumbling passes.
Cecily had surgery on July 30, 2018 to remove her tumor but since that day and her return to recovery, Cecily has been unable to wake up. It has now been weeks of what can only be described as a Surreal Nightmare! If this was not enough tragic news, let me please share with all of you a small piece of Cecily’s life! As she is no stranger to real life pain and heartache.
Just two and a half years ago at the age of 12; Early Christmas morning Cecily lost her Father!
...and now on this very day Cecily is in a REAL LIFE FIGHT WITH REAL LIFE CONSEQUENCES!!!
I know she would never look for, want for, ask for, nor need anyone’s sympathy! As she has displayed a strength of sheer determination to succeed in the face of even the most tragic of life’s obstacles! ...and a Maturity beyond Her teenage years!
Thankfully Cecily has an amazing support system of family friends and teammates who have gathered in spirit to pray for her recovery!
Her mother has been the rock in Her life and has taken what looks to be a permanent leave of absence from work so that she may continue her 24/7 vigil at Cecily’s side.
UMAS is trying to help alleviate just a small piece of the burden her family now endures!
So I along with Cecily’s loved ones would like to help support the ever growing accumulation of medical bills and living expenses of a seemingly endless and unknown outcome and Journey!
Please Help us, Help Cecily and Her family with this most devastating occurrence!
Our goal at this moment is to raise funds for Cecily’s long journey back to a full recovery.
