Cecilia's Transcendence & Garden of Renewal

Donation protected

If you have ever met Cecilia, even for just a moment, you have known of her brilliant love, her radiant energy and have been touched by the smile in her eyes. She was the daughter of a resilient, Godly woman and a kind, honest man, a sister to 4 incredible souls, an unwavering friend for so many, a loving mother of her furbabies, an incredible loving companion, a pillar of her circles, a light in her community and a servant of a higher purpose on this Earth.

Cecilia was in love with life. She would wake up in the morning with a passion for all of the possibilities to come, all of the joy that could be experienced with others, and all of the growth that awaited her. She was soft, sensitive and nurturing, but loved to get rough, dirty, and put in work. She loved to kick off her shoes in the desert and dance to amazing music (that you've probably never heard) with the best friends a girl could ask for. She loved to go rock climbing, and mountain biking, and feel exhilaration of the elements of mother Earth. She loved to sit with good people, drink tea and talk about life, love, death, God, transcendence, and the beauty she saw in others. She enjoyed music, art, fashion, expression, and would appreciate the deeper meaning of things. Always making light of things, she had an incredible sense of humor that allowed her to get along with anyone. She loved to take care of the souls in her life that mattered most to her. She never became desensitized to the small beauties in life, always capable of enjoying them as if for the first time. She loved to love.

More than simply enjoying life, she was always called to something deeper. She was working to become both a death doula (one who guides people in their crossing over into the next life) and an energy healer (one who channels the Source to bring perfect healing into someone's state of being). For Ceci, there was no way to detract her from what was most important in life; she knew it in the core of who she was and she wasn't afraid to exude it to everyone. She was passionate about new ways to beautify the act of death through ceremony and ritual. She knew that souls would continue on and bodies should be returned to the Earth. As such, she often spoke of green burial techniques to create a more sustainable burial process.

This loss is incredibly hard for anyone that knows her. To honor her the best we can, we are starting a non-profit and buying a piece of land in Utah (a place that stole her heart) where we will allow green burials and turn it into a beautiful garden of renewed life. This is where we'd like to bury her. All proceeds donated here will go to her medical bills and burial costs, with any extra going to the green burial garden, something she would have loved to have manifested in her life.

We are working to do this as soon as possible because we will not be embalming the body as this is counter to what Ceci believed in. We have about a month to make this all happen. Any help at all is deeply appreciated.

Thank you so much.
