Cece's Medical Expenses

Many of you reading this may already know but for those of you who dont - My mother Cecelia (Cece) McCrory was in a serious car accident on Tuesday, August 15th 2017. Due to heavy rain and trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle she braked suddenly which caused her to hydroplane off I-95 and into the woods and down an embankment. She sustained multiple serious injuries and was transported to Shock Trauma. Her injuries included: A tear to her aorta (which was repaired immediatley upon arrival to the hospital) Several broken ribs, contusions to her spleen and kidneys, and a pelvic fracture in 3 places. She also just had another procedure on August 22nd to repair a tear to the artery to her spleen; which was discovered by a recent CT scan. At this time she is not very mobile and unable to walk due to the pelvic fractures. She will remain in Shock Trauma until she is well enough to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility for extended care and physical therapy. At this time we do not know how long it will be before she will be walking again or able to return to her normal everyday life and/or her job as a registered nurse. It will definitley be a long road to recovery for her.

I am not one to normally ask for help like this but I know that I cannot take care of all of her finances on my own while she is recovering. She will have extensive medical bills and if she is approved for any Short Term/Long Term Disability she will only receive a portion of her pay. Her car insurance will only cover so much of her medical bills and I am certain she has exceeded that amount already. She will also have no car once she is even able to drive again. I would like for her not to worry about her financial situation and remain focused on her recovery but she is already stressing over it. I am hoping to be able to pay as many of her bills as I can while she is recovering so that will be one less thing she will have to worry about when she is finally released from care.
