Cecemmana Herbal Training Fundraiser for Mar
Donation protected
Hola,
My name is Mar and my pronouns are they/them/elle
I’m really happy to share that I was accepted into the Cecemmana program with Ancestral Apothecary and am grateful for this beautiful opportunity to build community!
I look forward to learning and expanding my perspectives of herbal practices alongside a multigenerational and intersectional group of folx.
I’m reaching out to y’all for support, in my Herbal Training journey ♥️
My connection with herbs began as I searched for ways to support loved ones with health issues and conditions. I searched for books and asked many questions to put all the pieces of the puzzle together, along with remembering the knowledge my maternal Grandmother shared as she cared for me and my relatives. The pull became much stronger in 2014, as she battled cancer and departed to the spirit realm. I hold the connections she had with seeds and carry the beautiful memories of how she cultivated a magnificent garden full of life, no matter where she was.
Over the years, I've spent more time in gardens, while reconnecting with the knowledge that my family carries, having worked with the land as farmworkers. l deeply appreciate the stories they have shared with me, and I’m looking forward to cultivating my own skill set for the next generations.
I feel continuous passion about food justice and herbal medicine, because they are very connected to our sustenance as a community that includes so many types of beings. I’m focused on learning more about growing food for each other, sharing recipes, and expanding my skills in medicine making.
My intention is to center Trans, 2 Spirit, queer, disabled, Black, lndigenous, and POC wellness. I aim to learn more about how to support myself through chronic pain, transition(s), and to be emotionally well so I can show up for my community in a good way.
I’m really excited to learn and connect with every lovely being in my cohort.
It is important for me to cultivate these spaces together to support our collective growth.
Praying all the abundance overflows for all of us❤️♥️
Please share and/or donate what you can when you are able to ♥️✨
