On Thursday, October 5th, my nephew Tyler's year and a half old chocolate lab, Sadie, was rushed to the emergency vet. Sadie underwent an emergency surgery to correct a bloated, twisted stomach issue known as Gastric Dilation Volvulus (GDV). She is recovering well from surgery, and it corrected the twist, but for some unknown reason her stomach is continuing to fill with gasses and bloat, which is now thought to be the original cause of the stomach twist. At this point she seems to be on the upswing of things, but costs are still rising exponentially to continue the treatment needed to ensure Sadie heals completely. Please consider helping Tyler.
