Donation protected
Mollie Mills Sheppard is a BCBA, Special Needs parent, and blogger in the Nashville area who shares a passion for life, her children and her community.  In July 2014, however, she received news that every parent, every woman, every individal dreads.  She was told she has cancer.  Mollie was diagnosed with stage 4 Enteropathy Associated Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, a very rare cancer of the stomach that affects one in two million.  1 in 2,000,000.  Within days of receiving her diagnosis Mollie began a very aggressive treatment, starting with chemotherapy as a first line of defense.  Mollie completed her first round of chemotherapy in November, 2014, and went right back into it a week later.  Their hope is that after this next, very aggressive chemotherapy, that Mollie will be able to have a stem cell transplant.  Mollie is in the fight of her life and she needs your prayers and your help.

Who is Mollie Mills Sheppard?
In 2008, during her first pregnancy, Mollie went into early labor. She went on to deliver the first of her twins, Aubrie, at 21 weeks. Aubrie survived only one day. Mollie founded Aubrie’s Angels in her honor, a non-profit that delivers therapeutic toys to children in need at Christmas.

Her second twin, Dax, was born two weeks later, requiring an 8 month stay in the NICU. Thus began Mollie’s journey as a preemie and NICU parent. As many of her friends can attest, in the micro preemie community, Mollie has served as an inspiration and her sons story one of great beauty, love and success.  Dax is a funny, sweet emerging kindergartener.

A few years later the Sheppards discovered that their second son, Tyler, has Autism. Tyler, so different from his older brother, has brought such incredible joy to the Sheppards, and has proven to be the greatest little best friend.  Tyler is also starting kindergarten this year.

Her children have been the greatest joy in her life.  They are the inspritation from which she has drawn strength to keep on fighting for that perfect day.  In Mollie’s words “We’re going to laugh and get through this.” She has done just that, inspiring thousands with her quirky sense of humor and generous outlook on life.
