HELP CCYA CHILDREN &amp; 24/7 ESSENTIAL WORKERS. The Center for Children and Young Adults (CCYA) is a local youth "home" with 42 beds where children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned live because they have no family or foster family to care for them.  Some children "live" at CCYA for 3 to 4 years. Join us in helping these children.  Shelter-in-place has increased the children’s Food &amp; Supervision Needs and our Essential Workers who are caring for these children 24/7 need our help.       Please donate to CCYA’s COVID-19 GO FUND ME to help CCYA’s children &amp; 24/7 Essential Workers (click link below). Donations can be made in honor of special occasions or just as a gesture of friendship for someone you admire. GO FUND ME donations will pay for pandemic increases in FOOD, SUPERVISION &amp; VITAL SERVICES; specifically, there are no more free lunch programs and our staff now provide homeschooling instruction.  Also, therapists report a rise in youth depression, anxiety &amp; panic disorder.  We are responding with more engagement &amp; planned activities to help youth safely shelter-in-place. Technology needs have also increased to support online learning &amp; virtual services like telemedicine &amp; therapy appointments, DFCS case management, sibling Skype visits, and Title I tutoring.
