Rest in Paradise

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my page. No parent should ever have to write what I am about to say.  Today 9/23/2014 my son Jared O'Dane was out on his early morning run.  He was training for a marathon.  Up at 4:30 am every day and out the door for a long run before going to school.  He was the most amazing 16 year old young man I have every encountered in my life. Caring, funny, a true soul with his heart on his sleeve.  An officer in his local High School National Junior ROTC program.  Dedicated to excellence and striving to attain his goals as a Officer in the USMC.   

Sadly this 16 year olds story was tragicly cut short this morning.  While on his morning run like always he was struck by a vehicle and died instantly. As I said no parent should have to ever write these words.  I am setting up this account in hopes there are some open hearts that are able to help us in this time of need.  We are at a total loss.  Trying to fund the unexpected funeral expenses.  We need to be able to have a service as well as transport him from Arizona back to California to be buried with family.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
