CCRT Hurricane Response
The Civilian Crisis Response Team responded to Hurrican Harvey to assist with rescue and medical aid. We are credited with over 750 rescues and over 150 treated medically in the field.
We are preparaing to deploy to assist with Hurricane Irma. Since these are back to back our supplies and travel funds are depleted. We are asking for assistance to buy more gasonline, medical supplies, and rescue equipment.
The Civilian Crisis Response Team is primarily located in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Northern Kentucky.
All of our responders are volunteers who take time off work and pay for items out of pocket apart from what we are able to raise.
All funds raised will be used to purchase the following:
Gas Cards for volunteers to use in travelling to the disaster area, and for use while in the area for transport vehicles, rescue boats, etc. This is expected to be approximately $250 per responding vehicle. or $2,500 total.
Personal Protective Equipment including additional lifevests, gloves, tyvek suits, goggles, etc. This is expected to be approximately $1,500
Rescue Equipment including push-poles, rope throw bags, additional chainsaws, etc. This is expected to be approximately $2,500
Medical Supplies for our team member to treat victims. This is expected to be approximately $2,500
Food for our team while in the area. This is expected to be approximately $1,000.
If we are able to secure additional funds we have other rescue equipment we would like to upgrade including our communications system, our rescue boats, and additional medical supplies. Any overages we are not able to apply directly to our missions will be donated to local shelters in the form of cash or purchased items they request (water, food, clothing, etc.)
Funds are being directed into our company account to be distributed to the individual rescue teams on a tracked basis.
