Bob DeMaio Support Fund

Donation protected
Back on December 13, 2012 an ER trip for Vietnam veteran Bob DeMaio turned into what was two weeks later diagnosed as pancreatic cancer.  On December 28 he began aggressive chemotherapy, and then in April of 2013 radiation became part of his treatment. Round after round of the debilitating medications ensued for the next several months and things seemed to get progressively better. In May news was received that Bob was finally eligible for the Whipple procedure (a surgery that would remove part of his pancreas and ultimately rid him of the tumor). Under the excellent care and guidance of his oncologist, Dr. Steven Schriebman, and his surgeon, Dr. William Diehl, Bob underwent surgery on June 11, 2013 and was cancer free...until January of 2014, and he started chemo again.  Being a father of eleven isn't an easy job to begin with, and not being able to work has put a strain on Bob and his family.  A fundraising event will be held on August 18th, 2014 at Poor Henry's Restaurant (8 Main Rd./Rt. 202, Montville NJ 07045) for Bob and his family to help defray medical costs - please come show your support!  All are welcome - If you can't make it, any donations are greatly appreciated.  Wishing you all the best!
