Hi, my name is Shanique. I recently graduated from Bard this May and relocated over 2,000 miles to begin a new job that I worked incredibly hard to earn. This role is an important step in my career, and I’m excited to build a stable future.

Unfortunately, right as I made this big transition, my car became unsafe to drive — the brakes are no longer reliable and unsafe to drive and it’s basically totaled because the cost of repair is more than the car's worth. This has left me in a difficult position, far from home and without safe transportation to get to work, take care of daily needs, and fully settle into my new community.

I’m asking for support to help me cover the costs of securing a safe, reliable car. Any amount you’re able to give will directly go toward making sure I can commute safely and continue the work I’ve dedicated myself to.
