Thor's Operation - He had it!

August 14 UPDATE - THOR HAD HIS OPERATION!
After all of your generous donations, Thor has had his operation and the vet said that it went well. Now he's at home resting and working on his recovery. The poor guy is in a lot of pain but we're being diligent with his pain medication to try and help make him more comfortable. Hopefully one day he'll understand that it was all in efforts to make him all better.
Our story ran on the front page of the Alliston paper last week, and that generated so much traffic and awareness about our situation and our goal was reached. I read each and every one of your messages and kind words, and it meant so much to me. Thank you. I'm working my way through the list to reach out and personally thank each and every one of you kind souls, but it is taking some time. I will get to you, I promise! I'm also sending a letter of update to the paper this week so that folks can read about this amazing story and what a truly wonderful community that we live in. There have been a lot of tears during this process but I am so thankful and grateful to you all for helping them turn from tears of sadness and feeling helpless, to tears of optimism and being touched by the community's kindness. I'll update again soon and even put up some more picture of Thor to show his recovery.

August 7 Update - THANK YOU. I'm speechless with the kindness and generosity that has been shown by so many people. And many of you I don't even know! I'm blown away by the support and wanted to take a moment to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I will be in touch with each and every one of you soon to extend my gratitude personally. We've been very busy calling and visiting vets, and spent the weekend doing a bottle drive which raised an $557.70! Yesterday a reporter came from the local paper to do an online story on our situation. I'm guessing this is where many of you found out about us. It's all happening so fast and I wish I could update more often, but we're feeling so positive and to say that I'm touched is an understatement.
Each and every one of you is amazing. From the bottom of our hearts and from Thor's... Thank You xo
