Buying a reliable car

Hi there, my name's Frankie. I'm a disabled painter in Tennessee, and I need help with buying a reliable vehicle. I have chronic illnesses both mental and physical that severely impair not only my quality of life but also my ability to maintain a normal job, so painting is a great source of purpose and fulfillment for me. I also live with several of my family members, being only 1 of 2 people in the family with a car, which has finally died for good. I've been saving up for a new one for a while, but have only managed to keep about $700, and finding a good car for that price is next to impossible.

I'm an avid traveler, and tie it directly to my artwork's inspiration and dispersal to collectors or galleries, as well as making prints or vending local events, so having reliable transportation is essential to my career.

Since my car started to decline, my business is more difficult to keep up with, as is my family's needs. Helping my family with their errands is a big part of my contribution as a household; without it we all rely on one vehicle to take care of the needs of several adults at varying levels of disability, including myself.
