living assistance

Wendy Susan's needs are threefold. 
1. In November 2013, she was hospitalized for 5 days, diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  As a result of this emergency, she is acquiring a substantial medical bill. 
2. In June 2014, the building where she has lived for 24 years was sold and within days after the sale she was notified that her rent will be doubled as of September 1, 2014. She has been searching for a new place but she needs money for first and last month rent, damage deposit and moving expenses. 
3. Concurrently, she will be losing half of her income as the child she has been nanny to for the past 5.5 years starts full-time kindergarten on September 3, 2014.  She will continue her employment with the family of the 5.5 year old doing after school care but those hours do not provide sufficient income to meet her financial obligations.  She is actively searching for employment but as a 60-year-old with medical complications, she is finding it difficult to compete in a market with much younger and healthier candidates.
