Cause Fore Paws started in 1996 as a Golf Outing to support and benefit the animals at the Northwoods Humane Society. Throughout the years it has grown into a 2 day event including a Silent & Live Auction, Golf Outing and Dinner. The mission is simple: raise funds for the animals at the Northwoods Humane Society so that these animals(pets) can have a comfortable and easy transition from shelter life to a loving and caring family!
The mission of the Northwoods Humane Society (NHS) is to provide a sheltered environment for unwanted animals. NHS works to find appropriate homes for animals, provide medical care as needed and work to socialize and train to increase their success in a home situation.
The Northwoods Humane Society actively works to promote responsible pet ownership with an emphasis on the need for spay and neutering of pets. NHS works with all factions of the community to address the needs of animals in the community.
Timber Ford of Hayward, along with Garmisch Inn Resort and Telemark Golf Course are sponsors of Cause Fore Paws. From planning to executing, the teams raise funds, gather auction items and execute the golf outing. In 2018, the total amount raised for the animals at the shelter was over $60,000. This year, we are hoping to exceed that amount and hit $80,000!
