Healthy Food is a Right
The overall vision of the Catskill Food Pantry is to establish food security for everyone in Greene County, New York. We do this through a series of food distribution locations throughout the county with the main distribution site in the Village of Catskill.
How Your Contribution is Used
The funds raised through this campaign will go to our operating budget for 2021/2022. That includes costs associated with procuring healthy food for distribution, equipment and supplies to build out our infrastructure (printer and other office supplies), transportation expenses to distribute food throughout the county, and organizational costs that keep the work of the Catskill Food Pantry active and whose labor is needed to keep up with the growth of our programming.
Fundraising Goal Timeline
We need to raise the $35,000 goal of this campaign between now and the end of 2021 and continue meeting our current obligations, give us the time needed to focus on more intensive fundraising efforts moving into 2022, plan with our existing farm partners and recruit even more partners what amount of fresh food they will be able to offer to us for the next growing season, and grow our food distribution locations over the fall/winter season to meet the growing needs of residents of Greene County.
