Cultural Immersion Trip: China Summer 2015
My name is Catie Brown and I am a freshman Honors International Business major with a concentration in Marketing at the Howard University.
I am planning on venturing to China in the summer with the Freshman Leadership Academy at my school. While in China, 20 of us plan to immerse ourselves in all that Shanghai and Hong Kong has to offer, as well as making a point to give back while understanding the social and political climate there.
I look at this opportunity as my first chance to study abroad, and a great start to embarking on my career in the international arena. I believe the first step to be able to be a global brand ambassador (my dream job), is to get to know the countries that I will be trying to target and attract. Being able to experience China this summer will be a test drive for doing this in my professional life.
My goal of $5000 will cover my contribution to the trip as well as providing me funds to enjoy all that China has to offer.
