On the 23rd September I will commence my GRAND ADVENTURE 270 Km stage race across the Grand Canyon, it will be hot and it will be hard. Competitors carry all their own food, equipment and medical supplies...nothing but water is given for 7 days, if you don't carry it you don't have it.
I'm walking for those who cant.
All funds raised go directly to the
Cyril Dharmawardana Foundation who have been doing amazing work with cancer patients in rural Sri Lanka. The Foundation has been servicing pockets of the country with Ambulance patient transport vehicles. They need to expand their fleet, to help those in the remotest parts of Sri Lanka have access to medical care. These people are too ill to travel hours by bus, so with more transport ambulances they will be able to take some of the burden off the critically ill, giving them the opportunity to concentrate on the fight they have ahead of them.
