<div>Cathy is one of those rare people. You know you’ve been lucky to ever meet someone like her.
</div>

<div>She turns up to climb whatever Mt Everest presents her with that day. She conquers it, then disappears in a poof of sparkle off to find the next thing to say yes to. Leaving the rest of us thinking, “wow… what a person.”
</div>

<div>She shows up with her full self, always. She lights up any room she walks into — magic in human form. She had this rare and extraordinary ability to really see you — to look at you and make you feel truly known, exactly as you are. She reads the card you gave her on the spot, just to double the love in real time. She travels across the city to walk a friend to work. She drives you home at midnight. She buys the drinks despite not drinking any. She dances like no one’s watching (which - at ‘No Lights, No Lycra’ - they aren’t).

<div>She accomplishes everything she sets her mind to, looks incredible doing it and still makes everyone else feel a million bucks at the end.

<div>She’s also a cool mum with a nose ring… how is she possible?!
</div>

<div>She believes in making time for the people she loves. Not just for the big moments but all the ones in between. The coffees, reunions, swims, long texts, nighttime walks, birthday parties, weekends away, Snapchats, pranks, surprises, games, terrible movies, homemade videos, tattoos, cuddles, picnics…

<div>But above everything and everyone, it was her family who held her whole heart. Seb and her girls were her entire world, her greatest love, her proudest achievement, her reason for everything. And beyond that, her love stretched wide and deep — to her mum and dad, her brothers and sister and all of their families. She didn’t just love them, she cherished every single moment with them. She felt like the luckiest woman alive to call them hers.

<div>So, this whole time, she’s been curating amazing memories that each of us cherish.
</div>

<div>Which is why it’s so hard to write these next words and why it will be so painful to read.
</div>

<div>On Easter Sunday, just three months after turning 40 and only two weeks after welcoming her newest baby, Cathy suffered a cardiac arrest at home in Sydney. Despite everything the medical team did and despite all of our hope, Cathy won’t be coming home.
</div>

<div>On the evening of 25 April 2026, our Cathy peacefully passed away surrounded and being held by her family, in a private and very colourful room decorated from the floor to the ceiling with art, photographs, messages and origami from everyone who loves her. Thank you to the team in RPA’s ICU for giving her such a respectful send off. We’re forever grateful.

<div>Cathy leaves behind her beloved husband Seb and their three girls, Zoe (7), Rosie (3) and Goldie (just 5 weeks old at the time of writing). She also leaves behind her loving parents, her siblings and their partners, and a wonderful family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; both overseas and in Australia. She fiercely loved all of them and they loved her just as much.

<div>Like many young families, Cathy and Seb hadn’t yet put life insurance in place because they had their whole lives ahead of them. So Seb is now facing the unimaginable - raising three daughters, one of them a newborn, while navigating grief and loss no person should ever have to face - all alone.
</div>

<div>We’re raising funds to help ease the immediate financial pressure on Seb. Every cent raised will go directly to Seb and the girls. Your generosity will help provide them with stability and breathing space as they begin to navigate life without her — covering day to day living costs, childcare for their three daughters and ongoing support as Seb finds his feet as a solo parent.
