Cathy has been diagnosed with Colon Cancer
Anyone who knows Cathy knows how selfless she is. When people are in need she is the first one to step up. For years her and her husband Marcel cared for children who had been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. There was always a new face at our family gatherings. Now Cathy is facing the fight of her life. She’s recently been diagnosed with colon cancer which will require aggressive treatment. She will begin treatment this week and will be traveling to and from the medical center in Sacramento 3 - 4 times a week. Marcel will be taking time off work to care for her but, he only has so much vacation time and when that runs out things will get even more difficult and they do not need the additional stress. Although they have health insurance there will still be co-pays and deductibles. Chemo, Radiation then Surgery their cost even with insurance will be astronomical. You may not know my cousin Cathy but, if you can imagine a person who rarely thinks of themselves, who is positive and upbeat and has taken on the responsibilities of others to give a child a sense of belonging and love, that’s Cathy. I realize life is not fair but sometimes it’s just down right cruel. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
