Cage-Free Cat Building Fund

Donation protected

Four years ago, Bill & Leslie left their jobs, friends, and family in the Chicago suburbs and moved to SW Missouri to pursue their dream of creating a sanctuary to help animals.  Known as the nations' "Puppy Mill Capital," this area seemed like a good place in which animals needed a helping hand.  With the generous 8 acre land donation from a psychologist and his wife, this dream soon started to become a reality.  With the financial support from their full-time jobs, Bill & Leslie were able to convert the barn on the property into a temporary "cat sanctuary."  The stalls were converted into separate rooms, and carpeted ramps were build for the cats to access the large loft.  Add some cat trees, walkways, plush beds, and insulated boxes, and it was ready to go!  Over the past 4 years, Eden Animal Haven has rescued and adopted out countless of cats and a handful of dogs.  The demand for a good cat rescue quickly became apparent as Eden Animal Haven reached capacity, but due to their philosophy of euthanizing only when there is no quality of life,  they sadly had to turn away many cats in need of rescue.  The necessity for a larger building, and one that is climate controlled and easily sanitized, became very apparent, particularly in light that very adoptable cats are continuing to be euthanized at an extremely high rate in SW Missouri.  In October, 2014, Eden Animal Haven, under the umbrella of Animals at Eden, officially became a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit charitable business!  Their next goal is to build a state-of-the-art, cage-free cat house on the property, modeled after the ones at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.  This building will provide several rooms that will hold up to 10 cats each.  Each of these rooms will be climate controlled and have its own outdoor enclosure.  In addition, there will be a separate quarantine area for intakes and ill cats, an adoption room, office, and laundry/storage room.  Eden Animal Haven's goal is to start building in the spring of 2015, but they are in desparate need of funding.  Due to Eden Animal Haven being  recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit from the IRS, any donations can be used as a tax write-off.    As an additional bonus, Eden Animal Haven is offering various levels of sponsorship with incentives attached to them.
Kitten Sponsorship:  $50 - Name a cat
Bobcat Sponsorship:  $100 - Name a pair of cats
Cheetah Sponsorship:  $500 - Eden Animal Haven T-Shirt
Leopard Sponsorship:  $1000 - Name on a plaque
Tiger Sponsorship:  $5000 - Name on a brick
Lion Sponsorship:  $10,000 - Name a room
No amount is too small!  Many people have said that they wish they could adopt more animals, or to have more time to volunteer with animal causes.  Well, this is a way that you can make a difference now, and for many years to come!  Please consider making a financial gift to help Eden Animal Haven build a cage-free cat house so they can help many more animals in need.
