Casten Lindley medical fund

My friend Sarah became pregnant in May of 2014 with baby boy Casten. What should be a happy time quickly changed. During the first trimester she began experiancing hemorrhaging that wouldn't stop. Then at 19 weeks, her water broke. She had bled so much, her body couldn't absorb it all, and her placenta calcified, causing her water to break way too early. The doctors told her there was no hope for the baby: she would either go into labor and the baby would die, or she would develop an infection that would kill her and the baby. She began seeing a specialist that advised her to terminate the pregnancy at 20 weeks. She refused to do that because she could feel her baby moving and kicking. If she could make it to 24 weeks, the baby would have a small chance of surviving. At 22 weeks she showed no signs of labor or infection, to all the doctors amazement. Her specialist then told her about an experimental procedure to try to put some fluid back in her uterus. It was called an amnio infusion. Her doctor had only tried it once before and unfortunately the woman went into labor and the baby died. Sarah had a better chance of it working. In late september she was hospitalized and the procedure was done. The fluid only stayed in her for about 2 days, but we all hoped it stayed long enough for the baby's lungs to develop. There would be no way of knowing until he was born. Every week she remained pregant amazed her doctors; however they kept reminding her that the baby still may not survive after being born due to under developed lungs. They made funeral arrangements for their baby. On november 11th, Sarah had an emergency c-section. She was only 28 weeks pregnant. Casten Micheal was born at 3:19 pm weighing just 2 lbs 9 ozs and immediatly rushed to to the NICU and placed on a ventilator. Again to everyones amazement, he began breathing on his own just 6 hours later. The doctors called him a miracle. He was diagnosed with extreme prematurity as well as Bronchopulminary Dysplasia which is a lung disease. He remained in the hospital for 8 weeks, and came home from the NICU on oxygen machines and monitors that he will remain on for months to come. After being home for just 2 weeks, casten was rushed to the hospital for an emergency surgery. The day he was discharged from the hospital, his daddy fell on some ice and broke his knee for the second time within a year, putting him out of work for the better part of a full year with no way to pay for Casten's enormous medical bills. Any contribution to this fund would be greatly appreciated and enormously help them out in these difficult times.
