Cassie's Intern/Study Abroad Fund

Hello! My name is Cassie Tapia and I am a senior pursuing a Telecommunication Media Studies education at Texas A&M University.

First off, I would like to mention that I have always wanted to leave a mark in my college career by studying abroad and expanding my knowledge and insight about the world. I believe that traveling is one of the most eye-opening and rewarding experiences one can come across and I encourage everyone to do so as well!

It has been one of my dreams to visit Australia, and after so many missed opportunities to study/intern abroad in my college career, God placed this exciting opportunity in my hands to finally pursue one of my dreams. Therefore, I am honored to announce that I have been given the opportunity to study abroad and possibly intern at the University of Sydney in Australia this summer! Whoop!

During my time in Sydney, I will be taking 2 courses. One as a normal class, the other (hopefully) as an internship and doing fun tourist-y things. Through the internship, I hope to gain valuable skills and experience in media and communications, and use those tools to my advantage in the real-world.

With all of that said, I would like to ask for help in funding this scary, but exciting journey to the other side of the world. The entire program costs roughly around $9,000  at the least, which is why I am asking friends and family to help raise a goal of $5,000 (or less) by May 18 to help cover some expenses. I know this is a super late notice, but anything will help. Even 2 dollars!
The raised funds will be used to pay for tuition and fees at The University of Sydney along with housing. 

I am beyond grateful to be given this opportunity and it would mean the world to me to receive help from my friends and family to pursue one of my dreams.

As mentioned before, anything will help. I don't expect one to pay $50 or anything. Just a dollar here or there is much appreciated. And If one is unable to donate, prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
