Cassie Carter Cancer Get Well Fund

Cassie Carter a wonderful caring 30 year old mother and friend, has been battling colon cancer for over one year. She will be undergoing a serious surgery that will keep her out of work for some time.

This is her story:
" In January 2016 after years of seeing different specialists I was finally diagnosed with Colon Cancer. It was terrifying and relieving- because at least I could start taking the necessary steps to get healthy. In February 2016 I under went a Sigmoidectomy, to remove a tumor that my beautiful surgeons believed to have been growing for about ten years. April of 2016 I began lv chemotherapy every other week for about seven months finishing up in 0ctober 2016. After about a month or so I had bounced back and felt the BEST I’ve ever remembered feeling. I went for my 6 month check up in April 2017 only to discover that my levels had risen at a striking rate- plenty more testing reveled 2/3 more tumors growing in my sacrum(area near the tailbone). I underwent 5 weeks of daily chemotherapy and radiation therapy to try and reduce the size of the tumors. Although the size didn’t change much it definitely had helped with the pain. This past Thursday I underwent a very rare surgery called a Sacrectomy. This required four different teams of surgeons and many doctors and nurses. The surgery lasted nearly 26 hours, parted into one 16 hour day and about 8 more the next. I’ve spent the last week in a fancy sand bed mostly on my back. Now, this is what I’ve been through this doesn’t tell the story of all those around me. I want it to be clear that never have I ever viewed my Cancer in a negative light, instead I choose to see the beauty in it, to rediscover life’s little joys everyday. I try to think that perhaps I have been given a sort of gift to view and learn and except more quickly. I choose to radiate love and life, and let me tell you I don’t do it on my own. The amount of love, strength, kindness, words of strength and wisdom from every person I meet is astonishing. With all this love I’m shown it gives me great hope for the world. A dear friend of ours opened a go fund me for us, I know it’s a lot to ask but if you can donate just a little bit, or share the page for your loved ones to see it would help me immensely get back on my feet. As most of you know Eddie and I have recently opened up our Taco trailer and although he is still managing a few events here and there most of his time is spent helping me at with our boy’s who are really missing their mama right now. I just want to be home with them, so I have to get well. I thank you for those who have or plan to donate and those who share! Please remember this world is beautiful, you just have to choose to see it. Also there is no shame in poop talk, if you need some poop knowledge I’m definitely your girl! "

Cassie and her boyfriend work endless hours in their food truck "Taco's Tacos" but they will have to limit their working schedule so they can take care of Cassie's treatments and their two young children during this tough time.

So lets come together to help Cassie and her family out!!!
