Cassidy Makes Miles for BRS!

I'm excited to be running the Hartford Marathon this year to raise money for Black Rock School. Yes, it's a really long distance and a ton of work, but it's a labor of love because it's for the BRS Fish Hawks!

The money that you contribute to my run will go to expanding the technology available to BRS students. Black Rock School is a special community and we have so much in terms of wonderful people and resources. However, we are short on technology. That's why the school staff have identified purchasing more laptops and tablets as a top priority for the school and our students.

Through this race, I hope to help ensure that all BRS students have access to these important learning tools. We want them to be able to have regular access to computers so that they can learn how to conduct in-depth research, benefit from educational and enrichment programs and learn how to produce innovative, high-quality work.

It's not about more screen time, but about helping all BRS students to develop the 21st century skills they need to thrive in school, work and life!
