Cassandra's Journey to Tanzania
Donation protected
Hey World!
I am a first-year Teacher Candidate at York University. My fellow classmates and I have been presented with an incredible opportunity to help build a school, volunteer in a local community and teach children in Tanzania!
As Mother Teresa said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” This is why I need your help! Your efforts in supporting my fundraising to take part on this journey is a stepping stone in creating the change we all want to see in the world.
This trip would take place in April of 2018, and is made possible through its affiliation with the Free the
Children Foundation. I will be working alongside community members in one of the WE Charity sustainable development projects, immersing ourselves in a new culture and language, teaching in a local school, and connecting with community members. The funds for this trip include; travel, accommodations, building supplies for the school, educational resources for students and food for a family in need.
I believe knowledge is one of the most valuable strengths a human-being may possess. Every child deserves the right to an education because it will help them to form their identity, realize their potential, and achieve their hopes and dreams. This is why I am so passionate in the education of our children at home, and I wish to take this passion over to Tanzania to continue this education and inspiration for all children.
Thus, any contribution is greatly appreciated, regardless of the amount. I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for participating in my journey to Tanzania.
