I am Casper a white femme trans guy, I use he/him pronouns. I am neurodivergent and 26 years old.
CURRENT UPDATES:
I have my top surgery booked for the 29th April 2022, which will be 1 year and 8 months since I started the fundraiser.
I’ve spent £700 from the fundraising already, £500 for a gender diagnosis and £200 for the first surgery consultation.
I am currently binding everyday with a binder. I also use tape a lot more than I use to, which is keeping me going until that date - it’s not super good for my body but I am unable to go out without doing so.
It took me a long time to reach this place, where I feel comfortable admitting to myself and the world that I want and need top surgery to progress in my life. - I have struggled so much with this for a long time and have realised just how dissociative my dysphoria is. I suffer with such dysphoria around my chest everyday and uncomfortableness that prevents me from living my life. I have been binding for a super long time (resulting in back pains) and I no longer want to do so, I want the freedom to be in my own body. - Getting top surgery will mean I can move on from this part of my life and be able to reach my goal and dreams in life. I order to get top surgery I need to ask for your help.
Why pay for top surgery? I am currently on the waiting list for the Gender Identity Clinic, however the waiting times on the NHS are minimum of about 4 years and due to covid it will mean it will take even longer for trans people to get the surgery then need. I simply can not wait this long and have fought with my feelings and dysphoria over an already long enough period of time that I am reaching out to ask for your support.
Gender diagnosis cost with Dr Popelyuk - £500 paid
First consultation with LTC - £200 paid
Date booked and deposit of - £1225 paid
Surgery is going to cost - £7700
