“For it is in giving that we receive.”

My step sister, Jessica Casper and her husband Jake Casper are dealing with so many hurdles during this already difficult year and could use some extra love and support through prayers and monetary donations.

Here is a bit of their story....
Jessica, Jake and their son, Jordan were overjoyed this year when they found out they will be growing their family. They tried for so many years to have another bundle of joy and by the Grace of God they were able to conceive a little boy who they named Ryker.
During Jessica’s pregnancy however, she endured a few scares and had to be rushed to the hospital for each one. This caused worry and stress for the family. Jessica was beginning a new career and with standing all day it took a toll on her body and the little life inside of her. While they not only had the stress of keeping Jessica healthy, they also took a huge hit from the Derecho storm. They live in Marion, IA and the storm tried to take apart their home. Luckily the storm didn’t take all of it, but enough to make Jake work around the clock to repair what was ruined.
While that alone should have been enough stress for any family, their little guy decided to make an early entrance into this world. Ryker Wayne Casper was born via emergency c-section November 17th. Weighing in at 1lb 9oz, he was extremely small and has a long NICU stay ahead of him.
He has been getting stronger every day, but not without additional scares and struggles along the way. Jessica and Jake are only able to see Ryker if they strictly quarantine due to the pandemic. Which is hard to do with the family they already have at home and the work Jake has to continue doing full time at his job and at night on the house.
While Ryker seems to be getting stronger daily, God once again tested their strength and Jessica was rushed in for emergency surgery on 11/29/20 due to a post c-section infection. She spent a few days in the hospital and was discharged with a wound vac. It’s been a slow recovery, but she is staying strong for the family.

They are hopeful for a positive outcome and cannot wait for the day to have their whole family under one roof. Due to the bills starting to process and Jessica unable to work herself during recovery any help is appreciated.

Please keep the family in your hearts and minds ❤️ God Bless you all!
