<div>Hey Folks, I write this with a lot of anxiety and fighting a lot of internal abelism if I am being completely honest. As many of you know I have been fighting to get a new wheelchair for over a year now. I finally got the script from my spinal doctor, support of 3 other doctors including my neurologist and my cardiologist. The wheelchair would be not only much lighter, therefore putting less stress on my heart but also have a Smart Drive Wheel attachment in the rear that would allow me to have a power chair option. This was strongly recommended because of the worsening of my POTS symptoms which is a heart conditioning causing fainting episodes, chronic fatigue, dizziness, nausea and many other symptoms.

<div>Insurance has now denied the Smart Drive Wheel attachment which costs $6626.00 which I do not have. To say that Im devastated and extremely frustrated is an understatement. They are now saying I have to pay out of pocket for this critical piece of medical equipment. I am humbly asking my community to help make this possible so that I can have a complete wheelchair that will medically meet my needs. The new chair that has been approved is much easier to use and so much of a a better medical fit for my body and my spine, hips and easier to maneuver. I am beyond grateful for the support I have received thus far on this journey from my doctors, friends and family. I am just hoping that I can finally get this all sorted out.Its been over a year fighting for a medically appropriately wheelchair.

<div>Thank you in advance I am extremely grateful for any and all support. I know times are rough for so many people right now and I hesitated for weeks to write this. This wheelchair will allow me to be able to continue working in weather conditions that profoundly affect my POTS and EDS. It will allow me to continue to do my activities of daily living with less pain and more functionality. I have been pushing my body more and more when I shouldn't be and I truly need to stop doing that because of the strain its putting on my heart.
