On December 9 my amazing husband, had a brain aneurysm. It was the scariest moment of my entire life. He stopped breathing and wasn’t conscious for 10 minutes. I performed CPR, Until he finally came back.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance and woke up with The worst headache he has ever had. Prior days before this event he had a very bad headache that lasted for four days. He’s always had some headaches pretty much daily, and now we know probably because of the aneurism growing.

I am so incredibly thankful that I was there when this happened and able to perform CPR. He probably would not have survived otherwise I am told.

Our 15-year-old daughter was woke up by me as I ran to get the phone. She unlocked the door for me and helped me as best as she could. I know it could not have been easy for her to witness.

Casey is a wonderful father to our six children, and he is so loved by all of his family. He is also the income provider, so this has been very hard for us in every area of our lives.

I have downsized our farm to make it very easy to care for the animals and not have to purchase animal food like we were before. Obviously I can only do so much while trying to care for the kids, and be up here at the hospital for Casey .

He is doing better than most of the people up here. Pretty much everybody in the Neuro icu is in a coma, But my amazing husband is awake at times, and even able to get up to go to the bathroom and occasional walks down the hall. He is a fighter and I am incredibly proud.

I have never asked for money. I have never made a go fund me page. I have had many people request that I do this week. I know that financially everything is a struggle on top of everything else emotionally. It’s just so hard to think about those negative things when I could’ve been planning a funeral instead. I can’t be anything but grateful.

My biggest request is for prayers for this amazing man , the doctors hands, and our families as they try to help us survive this. Also prayers for Casey’s cousin who had unexpected heart surgery yesterday. Prayers for everybody in the hospitals. It is so scary to walk down the halls and see the people in the beds, unaware of anything going on around them.

Thank you again.
