Catholic Academy of Stamford Covid Expenses

We are pleased that the preparations made during the summer by way of set policies and procedures as well as the diligence of our teachers related to the Covid-19 pandemic have played a major role in the ability to offer in-person learning to our students since September 1st.

As you can imagine all of the preparations required by the CDC, the Department of Education, the State of Connecticut and the Diocese of Bridgeport in order to open 5 days a week, full days presented us with some significant expenses that were not budgeted for the 2020-2021 school year.

These necessary expenditures during the summer included, but are not limited to, items such as personal protective equipment (PPE), additional cleaning protocols and the supplies and labor related, moving and temporary storage costs for classroom furniture to ensure social distancing, installation of plexiglass, social distancing signage, and instructional costs related to online learning. The expenses continue as replenishment of supplies is ongoing.

We are asking for help in covering these non-budgeted expenses.  Our hope is that with this appeal we will be able to reach out to others beyond just our school families in asking for assistance.

Thank you for your support!
