This isn’t something I’d typically do, but I’m gonna swallow my pride on this one.
Carter has partial hearing loss in both ears and is severely speech delayed due to that along with her eardrums being damaged from excessive fluid in her ears.
She is supposed to go in to have surgery on March 12th to place tubes as step one to determine if she’ll need hearing aids or if the tubes will resolve the problems she has going on.
Her surgery was set for March 12th, but insurance won’t cover any of the surgery because we haven’t hit our 9K deductible for the year.
That means her surgery is 6K and I have to have $2,300 paid up front to get her in the OR.
My taxes won’t be deposited in time as I was hoping they would be; so now I’m asking our village if they’d mind donating to help us reach our goal.
I have asked if I could reschedule, but due to how booked they are, she wouldn’t be able to get surgery until way later this year if they have an opening, or possibly next year as her surgery was scheduled in November of last year and they didn’t have an opening until March of this year. I was told by the hospital and ENT that if I cancel the surgery, they will have to contact child protective services for “medical neglect.”
I don’t know what to do but ask for the help.
