Carter’s Mummy fund

Myself and my two friends Tia and Abigail are hoping to raise some money for our amazing friend Victoria, Victoria lost her son Carter on the 14th July 2020, Carter was 9 years old when he sadly passed away and we feel that Victoria deserves this time to grieve without any financial worries.

Carter was born on the 11th November 2010 and he was diagnosed with a very rare unknown type of mitochondrial disease which meant that he couldn’t walk, sit up or eat orally. Victoria a single mum, raised Carter with very little help and took on the role as not only his amazing Mum but his outstanding carer. Over the years we her friends and her family have watched her and Carter go through things no parent or child should ever have to experience, with many trips to the hospital some of those being extremely scary and worrying times for Victoria and her family. Carter required 24/7 care and we are sure there have been times that have been exhausting mentally and physically for Victoria but she never let it show, she always carried on with a smile on her face.

Carter was an incredibly strong little boy and no matter the battles he faced he always lit up a room with his beautiful smile, he was very vocal and would let everyone know he was in the room. His love for balloons and flashing musical lights was like no other, they brought him so much joy alongside the film Lion King. He also loved being outside and having his friends around him smothering him in kisses and hugs.

Victoria has not only lost her son but she will also be losing financial help and her car through mobility, we feel that this is unfair and we would love to raise some money in order for her to grieve her little boy without any added stress, this could potentially help towards buying a new car, a little break away or even to help with just general costs of living over the next couple of months, Victoria deserves this more than anyone we know.

We her friends are incredibly proud of her, the strength she has shown since having Carter and everything she has been through in these last 9 years have been incredibly mind blowing..
