The Cart Pushers Studio Residency was an artist residency in Columbus, Ohio serving underrepresented demographics in the arts. We hosted six artists per year for six weeks each for free: there are $0 in fees charged to any artist. We didn't even charge an application fee.
We paid for everything out of pocket: studio rent, supplies, food, even transportation costs, when necessary. Although we have had to end the residency program for the time being, we owe some serious back rent. As we are not a 501(c)(3) organization, our funding options through traditional channels are limited.
