<div>Our world dimmed on November 20, 2025, when we lost <strong>Wendy Tam </strong>at just 25 years old.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Wendy was warm, radiant, and endlessly caring. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved, lighting up every room with her smile, humor, and kindness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two years ago, Wendy was diagnosed with <strong>mucinous ovarian cancer (MOC)</strong> — a rare and poorly understood subtype that represents only <strong>3% of ovarian cancers</strong>. Despite receiving attentive care at Stanford, Sutter Health, and integrative support, Wendy ran out of treatment options far too young.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before she passed, Wendy shared that her wish was to leave a lasting impact on this disease so that other young women might have hope and more options.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To honor her wish, we established <strong>The Wendy Tam MOC Research Fund</strong> — dedicated to advancing research and awareness for this underfunded disease. Wendy’s cancer was non-genetic — a reminder that this can happen to anyone, even a vibrant, healthy young woman. <div><strong>WHY THIS GOFUNDME EXISTS</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation made through this GoFundMe will be tripled through a <strong>2:1 matching</strong> opportunity. All funds raised here will be combined and donated directly to the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition (MOCC) in Wendy’s name — multiplying your impact and accelerating urgently needed research.

<div><strong>UPDATE ON MATCHING:</strong>

<div>Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve met our initial goal of $30,000! With the matching opportunity, donations up to this point were tripled (2:1). Going forward, every new donation will be matched 1:1, continuing to double the impact for mucinous ovarian cancer research.
