Guatemala Mission Trip 2015

How are you doing? We hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in ours. We are both having a wonderful year in school; Maddie a freshman at Allentown High School and Kelsey a senior at Rider University (majoring in theatre performance and business administration). We are both incredibly involved in service in our local communities, Maddie as a Girl Scout and a regular volunteer at HomeFront and Kelsey as a Bonner Community Scholar and we are feeling God's will now more than ever to do more for the world around us.
We want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that God has presented to us. From June 20 through June 27, 2015 God has offered us the chance to go to Guatemala with the Allentown Presbyterian Church. This 7-day mission trip will be reaching out and spreading gospel to the Guatemalan people and also bringing aid the people of Guatemala through the “Feeding Program” which provides two meals a day to more than 200 children. Also, through the “Preschool Program” which prepares the younger children for primary school and the “Clinic Program” which provides free medical care to those who are in need of basic medical and dental care.
While God has opened up a door for us to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for us and our brothers and sisters in Christ. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Guatemala. We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met. At this time we need to raise $1,500 each to attend this trip, and that is quite a challenge!
Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting us with a small donation? We will need to raise the majority of our funds by April 15 in order to pay for airline tickets and other items. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.
We look forward to doing God's work in Guatemala and letting you know all about how God has worked through this team when we return in June.
