"Carrie" a rose to a mother
MISSION: TO be able to touch as many mothers that are sick; forgotten, bedridden and lonely as possible.
I had no choice but to face one of my biggest fears in my life, which was to become a "Motherless Child"
My Beloved mother Carrie passed away from End Renal Kidney Failure, 3 months after her retirement. She worked in a hospital for 46 years of her life, caring for people. Her death was unexpected since she was on dialysis and soon to be discharged. One Sunday, I received a call stating that she was having difficulty breathing, then the next call stated "we received, Ms Carrie C, but when she arrived, she had no vitals. DEVASTATED!
I see her in my dreams and miss her more than anyone could ever fathom. Ms Carrie was my mother and my best friend, and always had my best interest at heart. She taught me; to speak up for myself and others. Be an advocate for those who are not as strong as you, she would often tell me during our mother-daughter talks.
Looking back, I realized she would give us tough love growing during our childhood and yeen years, but I understand as an adult and see she had a HUGE heart. She would give to people whatever she had with hopes of a smile in return..JUST A SMILE.
She has passed that down to me thankfully. So I am going around in search of smiles stories and laughter from moms. I need PASSIONATE volunteers, a team, to help me make some moms smile , which may be a first in years. The end result will be magical for all to see.. This is not a one time event . This will be an ANNUAL EVENT!! I hope she is smiling proudly.
