Carolyn Super Librarian

Hello and thank you for visiting, I’m sure this caught your eye because it has to do with our amazing friend, Carolyn Sauer. Well, as most of you know, Carolyn is a very, VERY, dedicated teacher and librarian for Chicago Public Schools AND we are in a pandemic. To boot, Carolyn has not only been dealing with the normal (haha!) stressors of teaching her students virtually, she has also taken on many additional roles outside her job description, which include (but are not limited to), 24/7 tech support, IT systems expert, Zoom/Google Classrooms Genius. And on top of all of this, Carolyn’s sweet Eloise is not fairing well. Ten years old, Eloise has bad hips and has lost control of her bodily functions. Tomorrow she goes in for a procedure to figure out the truth behind a mass in her stomach. If you know Carolyn well, or maybe no-so-well, you know Eloise is Carolyn’s baby and first love. To say times are stressful is true, for many, and for our friend, Carolyn.

So, since we can’t hug her (please social distance), and we can’t give her a kiss (must wear mask at all times), and we can’t improve virtual learning (how???), perhaps we can help to alleviate some financial stress for our beloved friend, a most selfless person, and best friend, teacher and mom around. 

In all honesty and jokes aside, Carolyn has been doing amazing things during these unprecedented times, she is teaching our future generations, dedicating herself to change and teaching change, she is an example and inspiration to so many of us.
