Help finance my cataract surgery

I am needing cataract surgery by January to improve my ablity to see at most distances. I can no longer drive after dark, or even read the music in Peace Choir. My surgeon recommends getting the AcrySof Toric Lens for both eyes becasue they'll correct for my astigmatism and optimize my distance and computer vision.
This specific lens is designed to reduce the chance of needing eyeglasses after surgery. My intention is to be able to read with greater clarity than I've been able to in years. Right now, my driving and basic ability to read is severely compromised, making many daily activities challenging until I can have this surgery.
This money would cover the expenses beyond Medicare; withhout this financial assistance this surgery with special lenses is unaccessible on my limited senior income; I am 72, and would love to be able to write a couple of books (poetry and Memoirs of a Birthmother). Right now I cannot see well enough to complete this yearning to share from my life experiences.
