Carols by Candlelight - Replacement

We are a group of volunteers who regularly put on free community events for residents to enjoy. We loved putting on the Carols this year, however, we were robbed!
Unbeknownst to us, our email was hacked. These guys knew what they were doing, they changed the EFT Details on a number of our supplier invoices for the Carols by Candlelight. They made it look like the invoices were legitimate, and sent these from the suppliers real email address so we had no idea.
In good faith we paid the invoices we were sent, and have only just found out that they had incorrect EFT details.
We estimate the scammers have recieved approx. $5,200 of YPA funds that was meant to pay for this community event.
We have lodged a fraud claim with our bank and are speaking to Police about the matter, but the reality is that we may not be able to get these funds back and will now have to do more fundraising just to replace this money and pay our suppliers for the Carols.
The impact is we had planned to hold a free community movie night in January, however now due to this financial issue we may need to postpone as we just wont have the funds available.
Our community has asked us to create this GoFundMe page so they can help us fundraise and cover the loss caused by the scammers. We hope to cover the stolen funds so we can continue to provide free community events for the good people of Yangebup.
