Hurricane Harvey Relief Help

Thank you for taking time to read our story and to everyone who's reached out in kindness already.
My childhood home was one of the ones that suffered as a result of Hurricane Harvey. My mom (Carol Koszela) has been living in the neighborhood for the past 21 years, and as is the case with a majority of Houstonians, did not have flood insurance because the house has not flooded once in all of that time. Buffalo Bayou runs through the back of the neighborhood, causing nearly 2 feet of water to flood the house and garage. She did not have any flooding until after the rain stopped and the resevoirs were released from the dams, causing the bayou to rise several feet within a few hours.
The most painful part for her situation particularly, is that she was about to put her house on the market to sell and had just remodeled several areas of the downstairs in preparation. A photographer was scheduled to come take pictures of the house the day the flooding occured. Since she does not have flood insurance none of this is covered.
This is a devastating loss financially and emotionally and we are asking for any help you are willing and able to give to help cover the cost of remodeling all of the things that were just invested in, replacing all kitchen appliances, redoing the floors, replacing the drywall, and additionally buying a new car since the car was totalled in the flood.
Any amount, big or small, is deeply, overwhelmingly appreciated! From the very bottom of our hearts we thank you for all of your kindness, love, compassion and generosity. Any spare funds will go to our community whose losses are also devastating.
