In 2014, at the young age of 46 years old, Caroline was diagnosed with HER2-positive Breast Cancer, a rare and extremely agressive cancer that has progressed into metastasized cancer, affecting only 5% of cancer victims. Due to her diagnosis she had to leave her career as a disability support worker to start treatment. She began chemotherapy treatment as well as radiation and herceptin. This had extreme affect on her physical and mental wellbeing. On top of losing both breasts, she lost her hair, her ability to walk, she could not even pick up a cup of coffee.
In mid 2016, Caroline was diagnosed terminal and told that she didn't have long left to live. As a result of her not being able to work, Caroline and her family are not able to afford funeral and support expenses. Almost a year and a half since her terminal diagnosis, Caroline is still with us, however, she is close to being in palative care and is making all preparations for when she passes.
Caroline brings joy to everyone around her and is loved by many. Any support that you can offer in her time of need would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will contribute towards any funeral and support expenses.
Thank you so much for your support.
We love you mum.
