Caroline Hynes Lydon TN Treatment

Caroline is a loving wife to Kevin (Heavy) Lydon and mother of three children Conor, Laura and Noah.  She was diagnosed a year ago with Trigeminal Neuropathy (TN).  TN happens because the trigeminal nerve, located in the face, is damaged.  TN is considered to be one of the most painful afflictions known to medical practice.  It causes extreme, sporadic, sudden burning or shock like facial pain.   Caroline, like many others with TN, also suffers from hypersensitivity to touch, even being outside in the wind causes extreme discomfort.  

Treatment for TN includes medications (prescription painkillers), nerve blocks and surgical interventions.  Caroline has exhausted every possible non-surgical option and, after seven nerve blocks, has been told by Neurologists and Pain Specialists that surgery is her only option.   Surgery is available to her but she will have to leave Ireland and go to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London.  

We are currently trying to raise the money needed for hospital, travel and accommodation expenses.  Caroline needs the surgery as soon as possible to restore quality of life.  Her pain needs to end as it is becoming unbearable.  Please help Caroline and donate whatever amount you can.  Every donation big or small will help her to get the surgery she needs.  Thank you.
