After 40 years of Marriage James and Carol Kemeny have been through better and worse and are now struggling through sickness and health. In 2014 Carol was diagnosed with liver cancer and in 2017 James was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer.

I am their daughter Angela and I have one older sibling, my brother Matt and my sister-in-law Teena. I have 3 children and my brother has 1 and all of the children share 2 favorite people in this world, their Papa and Oma! My oldest son has a very strong bond with my parents because they have helped me raise him, and they have helped me with my twins as well. My parents have always been the type pf people to open their doors to people that needed a place to stay for a while, or to borrow someone somwthing if they needed it. Our friends called our parents mom and dad also and many still do to this day.
We are asking for donations to raise funds to help James and Carol pay past, present, and future medical bills. They have so much to worry about and being their daughter I wish I could just pay everything for them and I feel completely helpless at times but I know that my prayers and all of your's have helped in so many ways. The money that we raise will cover all of the before transplant bills for Carol, present copays for extremely expensive anti-rejection medications, copays for the specialists that she sees, and copays for Jim's copays at the v.a.

If there is any money that does not go to medical expenses than it will go towards the taxes on the house. My parent's built their house in Franklin by saving every dime they earned from when I was growing up. That is the house they planed on living in for the rest of their lives and that dream could be ripped away from them.
There are other ways of donating if you cannot spare any money we are having a benefit on June 4th and any volunteers that can help find people to donate things towards auction baskets, or people who can make phone calls would be great. Also, with them not being able to do the yard work and things that need to be updated on their home if anyone is able to help out with any of those it would be great. Carol is very upset about not being able to work in her yard this year because she cannot touch the dirt, so I am on the lookout for those that like to garden and do not mind taking orders from her lol...
