Carntyne & Riddrie Food Bank
I’ll be taking part in Sober for October and completing the Mens 10k in Edinburgh on 23rd October.
This is to raise funds for the Carntyne & Riddrie Foodbank in North East Glasgow. John and his team run a non-referral food bank to ensure no one, regardless of status, will be refused help.
Whilst some food banks have been seamlessly incorporated into the welfare system and are now common place, John and the team continually rail against the fact they need to exist. They know who is to blame for the mess and they know that is only working people can save each other.
As the cold weather starts to bite and Truss’s economic disaster unfolds there will be a lot of misery for our friends, our neighbours and our class.
