Carnehill 4 peaks hike
Tax deductible
A group of Carnehill employees are climbing the highest mountain peak in each of the four provinces of Ireland over two days to raise money in aid of Pieta House.
THE CHARITY
Pieta first opened its doors in Lucan, County Dublin, in 2006. Since then, they have seen and helped over 60,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm.
They now operate 20 locations across Ireland. Pieta currently employs over 200 therapists and support staff, and the demand for their service is increasing.
As over 80% of their income comes from fundraising events, any donation is greatly apricated for this worthy cause.
THE CHALLENGE
Our route will take us on a road trip around Ireland, starting in Silver strand, Co Mayo, on Friday the 16th of September, where we will begin the 814m climb to the top of the Mweelrea mountain. From there, we will travel the 362km road trip to Donard in County Down, where we will have our second hike to the summit of Slieve Donard at 850m.
Rising early on the 17th of September, we will travel the 208km from Donard to Wicklow, where we will complete our third climb, 925m, to the top of Lugnaquilla. This is followed by a 300km drive to our final destination in Co. Kerry, where we will climb the 1040m to the summit of Carrauntoohil Mountain.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this great cause which is there for people when they are most in need of support.
