Carmen's Dental Assistance

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Christen and this account is for my sister... My only sister, Carmen Pierce. Carmen is 36 years old, but has the health of someone twice her age.  You see, at the early age of 30, my sister was almost taken from this earth by the means of a massive heart attack. We almost lost her, the doctors say it is a miracle that we didn't. Yet, here she lives & breathes... My sister. For someone her age, she has faced so many obstacles (and she is a very proud woman who will probably strangle me for posting all of this detail) but I feel it necessary to paint an accurate picture of you all to understand just how special this situation is for her, for me, and the others that love her so much.
To keep it brief... Massive Heart attack, 30 YEARS OLD, 100% blockage, unable to do bypass, no stints, medicines out of the wazoo, pacemaker, difibrulator, multiple oral surgeries, loss of employment, hysterectomy, no dental insurance available, disability = income reduction = quality of living changes, teeth cracking, hopes of children gone forever, multiple hospital stays, pain, abscess teeth, emotional turmoil... Can you even imagine? I cannot. And not once... Not even once, did I hear her complain. Not once did I hear her question or ask Why me? Not once did she ask for a handout.
Until recently, I had not heard my sister say "I can't handle this anymore." For you see, heart health and dental health go hand in hand and when one goes so does the other and it is a vicious cycle. Once her heart attack occurred, her dental health deteriorated rapidly. Her only hope has been patiently waiting on ridiculously long lists in hopes for charitable dental programs... But it has gotten to the point that eating is difficult. Cold air hurts. Talking is painful. And just when she had found a dentist/oral surgeon that will work with her and her complex case (hopes up, fingers crossed) the estimated cost of coverage was $6,300.00.  We are not a wealthy family. And as I mentioned, she has no insurance and is living on fixed income as it is. That leaves no room in the budget for a $500 monthly care credit payment or loan, etc. It is such a difficult place to be in for me because I want to fix it... And I can't. That is why I am begging for your help. Please help me help my sister. She needs this dental work desperately as the pain and infection is adding strain on her already weakened heart.  Thank you so much for any support, contribution, prayers, or information that you may provide. God bless!

Now, if you know my sister, you know that she doesn't and won't ask for much... But she did want me to say that heart disease is a preventable disease that kills more women in the US each year than any other disease. Do your selves a favor and pay close attention to your heart and your teeth!
